Hays hooks were designed & developed by the Quickrig Corporation in collaboration with Capt. Roddy Hays of Legend Lures fame. Roddy's experience as a big-game skipper is second to none, having spent many seasons fishing for the monster Blue Marlin of Maderia and other hotspots in the Atlantic. He has tangled with plenty of Grander class marlin and knows what is required to land these big fish.

Roddy has applied this experience to create and refine what some have dubbed "the ultimate trolling hook". The stainless steel Hays Hooks feature a unique shape with a turned in point and deep throat bend for maximum penetration and holding power. A high carbon content results in incredible strength and durability, even on the heaviest of tackle and the biggest of fish. The round cone point and small barb gives excellent penetration without sacrificing on strength. They can be hand sharpened to any desired point and are well known for their ability to hold their sharpened point much longer than most other hooks on the market.

Not only are these the ultimate hook for Marlin and other billfish, they also make a superb choice when targetting Tuna. Thanks to their incredible strength, Hays Hooks are the ideal choice when rigging small lures on heavy tackle to chase jumbo Bluefin & Yellowfin Tuna.

Hays Hooks are available in sizes 7/0, 8/0, 9/0, 10/0, 11/0, 12/0 & 14/0 and are sold individually. We recommend using them for all medium & heavy tackle lure trolling. If you are serious about big-game lure trolling, then these are the hooks for you!
