The Small Slant by Steve Coggin is an extremely effective lure that appeals to Marlin, Tuna, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi & most other gamefish. It’s long, narrow head profile and small face diameter means this lure has minimal drag and can be run very effectively on light tackle, as well as heavier classes.

The slanted face and gentle forward taper makes this lure swim with a plunging action that leaves a strong but narrow smoke trail in its wake, making it the perfect choice when the fish are on Gars or Sauries!

It is lead weighted to maintain perfect balance in all sea conditions, and features those signature Coggin brass jet tubes and thick mother of pearl inserts.

The Small Slant is particularly deadly on Striped Marlin, small Black Marlin and both Yellowfin & Bluefin Tuna of all sizes. It is also a real special on big Mahi Mahi. It pulls well from any position; however try it from the Long Corner or Long Rigger for the best results. It also makes an excellent choice for the shotgun position when running a spread of larger lures.
